Berlin Partner – the investment agency arm of Germany’s capital – today launches a web-based solution for distributing the 3D city model of Berlin. The new 3D platform is unveiled by Berlin Partner at this year’s MIPIM in Cannes, one of the most influential exhibitions for the international real estate industry in the world.
Berlin’s 3D city model – perhaps the largest 3D city model ever shown in Google Earth – is famous alone for its sheer size: over 560,000 buildings with façade images. Upon discovering the capability of Agency9 3DMaps platform, Berlin Partner decided to launch this impressive amount of 3D data on the web. The web maps are primarily used as a decision-making and presentation tool for potential investors. Agency9 3DMaps selected to power Swiss 3D geoportal
Swedish 3D platform replaces Google Earth after benchmarking
Stockholm, 2011-12-01 - Agency9, a leading provider of web based 3D platforms and spatial solutions, today announces the partnership with GEOINFO, a leading GIS systems integrator in Switzerland, under a distribution agreement for its products. The agreement gives GEOINFO right to provide 3D geoportal services to its customers based on Agency9 3DMaps. As the first deployment GEOINFO this month announces the extension of its existing 2D web geoportal with 3D capabilities. The new 3D service will be available to all cantons in Switzerland starting now with the canton Appenzell available live at 3dgeoportal.rgdi.ch/ktar. GEOINFO AG is also becoming a value added reseller in Switzerland for 3DMaps and its applications for geoportals and planning.
