360° Images

The 360° AddOn adds support for 360°-imagery, seamlessly integrated in the 3D-environment. 360°-images are panoramic images, allowing the end-user to look around a specific geographic location. Tourism and public service applications are just a few areas where a closer look at the surroundings is desired.

The 360°-images can be linked, so the end-user can navigate between locations directly in the 360°-view. 360°-images are very useful as the most detailed view of an area, i.e. the maximum zoom level, or an interior location.

Each 360°-view has their own unique coordinates and orientation, consistent with the 3D-environment. A seamless camera movement smoothly and seamlessly transitions between 360°-view and 3D-view, preserving the orientation from both modes. In addition, the graphical interface controllers from the 3D-view are also used in 360°-view to control and manipulate the view. The user will intuitively feel comfortable with the navigation.
