Why do you launch the Madlix Portfolio now?
It is the right time for all of us using the Internet to get the advantage of viewing and publishing true 3D content. There are so many different ways in which 3D visualization adds value. It gets us very close to reality and yet allows creation of own content and to publish it across Internet and digital spaces.
Madlix offer solutions that let us take advantage of all these possibilities. It is built with state of the art technology and it implements Agency9 own patents. How will Madlix make 3D available to everyone?
Madlix is a free service based on a 3D-technology, which make it possible to use 3D models of your choice across different media and applications. The Gallery at Madlix.com is a first and natural step towards that goal since it is a meeting space for both professional and non-professional 3D-artists. Through the Madlix solutions 3D are available seamlessly to users regardless of where they are or which models they want to view or publish.
You mention the “digital spaces”, what do you mean by that?
We started looking at where 3D could benefit users and discovered a wide range of computer related areas, such as on web pages, in office applications, on mobile phones, in games and instant messaging software and other digital spaces. Of course in an extended view we might find ways to deliver values to the physical space, such as the possibility to use 3D print, but it will most probably involve a considerable digital connection.
Madlix will be available across digital spaces, so how will that benefit me as a user?
Most important is, as I mentioned before, that the user is able to view and use 3D content regardless of where he or she is. The same 3D model can be embedded on your own web-page, blog, mobile phone or in any other digital media. The seamless usage of information between different screens, applications and digital rooms is becoming reality.
What are the unique values with Madlix compared to all other solutions available for 3D experience?
All Madlix solutions are plug in free, which make them accessible swiftly and smoothly by any Internet user. What also makes Madlix really unique is the seamless usage of 3D models between digital spaces or platforms. I also would like to mention that Agency9 from start was a pioneer in implementing the 3D standards into the 3D engine AgentFX. We are now introducing the Madlix web publisher. Now you can publish your 3D models direct here on madlix. Check out the publisher page for more information. If you have the old version installed, please uninstall it before installing the new publisher. A faster version of madlix is also released. The loading time has been reduced to half. It also contains a number of improvements.

AgentFX 2.4 Enhances Content Path
Luleå, Sweden, February 3, 2006: Agency9 today announced the immediate release of the new version of their 3D-engine, AgentFX™. AgentFX is a powerful 3D engine available on multiple platforms. It is used in entertainment, industrial and defence applications.
Version 2.4 enhances the content path, making it smooth for transition of content assets from a various digital content creation tools, such as Maya®, 3D Studio Max® and Blender into AgentFX. This is done by support of the COLLADA v1.3 format. The engine also features automatic COLLADA XML scheme validation. Following is a list of import features support from the COLLADA format:
- Mesh
- Material
- Textures
- Multitexturing
- Dynamic lights
- Baked lights (ie pre-calculated ray-traced lights)
- Rigid-body animation
- Bone animation
- Camera animation
- Light animation
AgentFX v2.4 supports a new scripting architecture for developing vertex and fragment shaders, using the Cg language. Shaders can easily be scripted and plugged into the system. Other upgrades include:
- Picking
- Render-to-texture
- Massively added documentation in the API Specifications
- Added examples with source code
- How-to manuals.
Pricing and Availability

AgentFX 2.1 released
Luleå, Sweden, January 17, 2005: AgentFX 3D-engine offers true platform independence, making the applications based on it directly available on Microsoft’s Windows, Mac OS X, Linux and UNIX platforms. The applications and games based on AgentFX are also immediately ready for use on web sites. AgentFX helps developers to cut their development time and costs by up to 40%, eliminating the need for redevelopment of applications and games for each platform.
“The use of AgentFX allows our customers to launch their applications and games on a wide variety of platforms, but only carry the development costs of one platform”, says Khashayar Farmanbar, CEO of Agency9.
The new version, AgentFX 2.1, comes with a totally new license form, making a beneficial offer to many SME’s working with visualisations and 3D entertainment.
